Sundays With Lorraine

Sundays-with-Lorraine

Welcome to Weekly Scrapper! It makes me smile knowing that you’ve found some “ME” time to get your craft on. Sundays are special to me because this is the time that I have to share my passion for crafting with you when we’re not at the Scrapbook Expo. So sit back, relax, and enjoy today’s inspiration.

We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool!

I don’t think I have ever written a post about a specific tool before, but there is a first time for everything. Have you had the opportunity to play with this little treasure? If you are a lover of the extremely popular pocket pages and/or shaker cards, this is definitely a “need in your life.” The beauty of this little gem is that you can create your own custom pocket pages, pockets to hold tiny treasures, and it’s a real time saver when making shaker cards.

How stinkin’ cute is this pocket page? If you want to see additional photos and a video sharing the basics, you can click here and I will escort you over to the Simon Says Stamp Blog.

You Are My Sunshine by Linda Trace

My eyes were immediately drawn to this lovely card on the Hero Arts blog with it’s stamped background, the pretty butterflies, and that amazing chevron striped ribbon by May Arts.

You Are My Sunshine Card

It made me want to pull out my stamps and Prismacolor Pencils and get creating! This is the perfect card to let someone know how special they are to you. Come with me over to A Blog Named Hero for a complete list of the products used. And a big thank you to Linda for sharing this beautiful card!

Happily Ever After by Lucy Abrams

It seems like I am always on the lookout for a special card to send love and wishes to a newly married couple, and was delighted when I saw this lovely card by Lucy Abrams.

Happily Ever After

I love the way Lucy white heat embossed the flowers and sweet sentiment and colored in the flowers so perfectly. The machine stitching really finishes off this charming card. Click here for a complete listing of the products Lucy used. Thanks, Lucy, for sharing your creativity!

Chore Chart by Kimberly Crawford

Do you have teenagers that constantly need money for this and that? Then I’m sure you can see the beauty in this “Work 4 Hire” chore chart. Ya gotta love it! I have a 19-year-old daughter who is currently a college student, and since she isn’t working at this time her purse is a bit on the light side. I often struggle with the fight between just handing her money as needed and enforcing my husband’s very important policy that to be responsible you have to work for things in life. This is one project that is definitely on my creative bucket list.

Chore Chart by Kimberly Crawford

You see how perfect this chore chart is; now we can offer our children extra chores for the money they want for life’s little extras and we don’t have to be burdened with guilt because they did work for it. I know my daughter tends to appreciate things a bit more when she is spending her hard earned money vs my money. As the chores increase in time and effort, so does her payout. It’s a win-win! Make sure to visit the Jillibean Soup blog for all the products Kimberly used on this great project!

Smothered Chicken Breasts

This is one of those go-to recipes; not only is it delicious but it comes together in no time with ingredients that you usually have on hand. Plus, it cooks in one skillet so cleanup is a breeze! It doesn’t get much better than that.
