Hey there friends, Becki here to share a scrapbooking process video. Scrapbooking teenagers isn’t the easiest task, especially teenage boys. The “So Rad” collection by Simple Stories makes this process a little bit easier. I created this layout about my teenage son’s “dream come true” of getting an electric guitar for Christmas. Come take a look at how this layout came together. Even better, go grab some supplies and let’s create together!
Teenagers can be picky about the details of their story, so I often make my journaling hidden on my older kids’ layouts. That way, not everyone who is just flipping through the album will be reading the journaling. As you saw on the video the journaling is tucked away on the kraft tabbed journaling card.
“Dream come true” is a longer title. To keep it in the space I had allotted on the layout, I used two different fonts of letter stickers.
I added a few embellishments to the top of the layout to balance the colorful bottom half of the layout. A couple of chipboard frames and some music note die cuts did the trick. With those last couple of embellishments, the layout is finished.
Thanks for stopping by today. Just in case you missed it, you’ll want to check out a layout that I shared with you here on the Weekly Scrapper blog in December. I’ll see you next week with some adorable Valentine’s Day cards. Thanks for stopping by today!
LOVE this layout. Thanks for the step by step instructions. CASEing it for sure!
Thank you, Sharon! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video <3
