Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. With Valentine’s Day just a few days away, I am sharing a Valentine card I created with a classic heart theme.
First, I cut out some shapes for my card using my Cricut Expression machine. I used the Doodlecharms cartridge for the hearts and the Bits and Pieces cartridge for the arrow points and tails.
The card shape was made by flipping one of two scalloped heart images vertically in Cricut Design Space, overlapping the images at the top, and then welding the images together. I cut out a third scalloped heart shape to adhere to the card front.
To create the arrow, I added foam and liquid adhesive to one set of the arrow tail shapes, adhered the end of a paper straw over the cuts (flattening the straw just a bit to fit between the cuts), and covered the cut with the remaining arrow tail cuts.
I did the same with the arrow point cuts.
I folded the welded card cut in half and layered and adhered the scalloped heart and red heart cuts to the front of the card.
I adhered the paper straw arrow to the center of the card.
I covered the arrow with the remaining heart die cut and decorated the heart with a chipboard sentiment and some sequins to finish.
I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Nice valentines project..:-)
