Masculine Layout and Card

Becki-Adams-header

Thanks for stopping by today! I’m Becki and I’d like to send you a warm hello from Idaho. I have a masculine layout and a card to share with you that I created with the new Pinstripes collection from Echo Park Paper. If you need to create any masculine projects, this is the collection for you! It’s full of manly colors, images, and patterns.

Most of the time I make 12 x 12″ layouts but every once in a while I change things up and create layouts that are a different size. Today, I chose 8 1/2 x 11″. It was fun to work on a smaller canvas for a change. I love the chipboard elements in this collection – isn’t that rocket ship adorable? I put it on some adhesive foam dots to make it pop off the page.

I wanted to add a little bit of dimension to the top of the page, too, so I added adhesive foam dots under the “best friends” sticker. I was able to tuck some chipboard pieces under the sticker to create a cohesive cluster.

As I’ve mentioned before (here) I’m really trying to create a card after each layout to using the scraps from the layout. It minimizes the amount of scraps I have to store and it creates a nice stash of cards that I have on hand for special events. I created a Happy Birthday card with some of the elements from the ephemera pack.

Here’s the layout and card together. This collection is one of my all time favorites! You’ll see many more masculine projects from this collection.

So happy you’ve stopped by today. I’ll see you back here next Thursday!

I loved the layout and what a brilliant idea to make a card at the same time with the scraps.
