Fun In The Sun Layout By Stacy Cohen
Whether you’re a 1-page scrapper or a 2-page scrapper, you are going to love this sweet summer- themed layout designed by the amazing Stacy Cohen! No matter what your preference is, Stacy shows us just how easy it is to stretch a one-page layout into a double-page layout using the same design.
To modify this design for a double-page layout, Stacy simply rotated the design counterclockwise 90 degrees, stretched out the paper strip rows, and added more photos.
.
I hope that you’ve been inspired to get those precious photos off your phone and into your scrapbooks. With a little help from our friends at Scrapbook & Cards Today and designers like Stacy to lead the way, it’s a piece of cake. Happy scrappin’ my crafty friends!
Distress Inks Butterfly Card by Eileen Godwin
I’m honored to be able to share this beautiful card designed by the very talented Eileen Godwin. If you have not yet had the pleasure of seeing one of Eileen’s video tutorials you’re in for a real treat. Click here and I would love to take you over so you can follow along as Eileen shares all kinds of tips and tricks that are sure to give your cards that “wow!” factor.
Amanda really is the queen of beautiful details; you will be amazed how a few simple techniques can add such visual interest to your stamping projects. Be sure to check out the Youtube video – I’ve watched it several times and I’m still blown away by her skills. The best part is that they aren’t difficult techniques, it’s just things that I hadn’t thought of. My favorite is removing some of the distress ink with a paint brush to give the illusion of depth. I’d like to send out a virtual hug to Amanda for being such an inspiration to her fellow paper crafters.
Fill your Life With Color by Amanda Southern
This one goes out to all of you amazingly talented stampers. I was blown away when I first discovered that this was a single layer card. All the depth and visual interest is created by shading, coloring, and a little imagination. I love the Zentangle influence without all the work. 😉 Amanda generously shares how she created this work of art on her blog That’s Blogging Crafty. I highly recommend stopping by for a little creative therapy. She really has some great tips and tricks to share.
If you’ve fallen in love with the butterfly stamp as I did, it’s titled Spread Your Wings by Carabelle Studios. You can find it over on the That’s Crafty site along with the Circle and Dots Stamp. Just click here and I’ll take you over.
The Sunbathing Companion
This is one post that’s been resurfacing time and time again through the years and its sure to come in handy for your trips to the beach and/or pool. The end result will be a lovely sunbathing towel with an attached pillow that can all be rolled up into a bag and carried (with sunbathing items included) down to the beach with you. What’s not to love?
This project is pretty much labeled a beginner sewing project, so no worries if you’re not a seamstress. I’m thinking I need a few new towels for the bathroom and I will recycle several older ones. See what can happen – I get new bath towels and also a fun beach accessory., If you’d like to give this fun project a try, click here and I will lead the way over to The Golden Adventures Of A Dark Horse Blog so you can follow along as Stella shows us just how easily this fun Sunbathing Companion comes together. Happy summer, my peeps!
Lemon Asparagus Pasta With Grilled Chicken
This recipe for lemon asparagus pasta combines tender asparagus and grilled chicken with pasta in a lemon cream sauce. Your family is going to love it! It’s a great recipe for the summer as we don’t need to heat up the oven when it’s 110 degrees outside.
You’ll be happy to know that this amazing recipe can be on the table in less than an hour and the creamy lemon sauce only has four ingredients and takes less than five minutes to make. If that sounds like a great plan, then click here and I will escort you over to the Dinner At The Zoo Blog so you can print out the recipe. You might want to print out a few extra copies, because I know your friends will be asking for the recipe.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful week and I’ll see you next Sunday with some more great projects.
