Hello, my crafty friends and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper. I just returned from the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Somerset, NJ where I’m happy to report that a fun time was had by all. I’d like to send out a virtual hug to all who attended – you guys are some seriously talented paper crafters and I had a great time hanging out with you in the Creativity Center. For those of you who have never attended a Stamp & Scrapbook Expo, we still have six more shows this year, so there’s plenty of opportunity to find one near you. I’d love to have you come meet me in the Creativity Center where we can create lots of projects together! I thoroughly enjoy seeing our guests’ eyes light up as they make something they love and rediscover the artist within.

Art Impressions Watercolor Heart Wreath Tutorial

As I’ve shared with you, I host the Creativity Center at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expos and I am frequently asked about the make & take project that I have the privilege of teaching for Art Impressions. After seeing this great video filmed by the amazing Kendra herself, I knew I had to share the love. This post goes out to all my students who have been requesting this video. It’s time to break out your flowers and foliage stamp set and create some art.

This picture may not be the best, but this is all about the video. If you’ve crafted with me before, you know how passionate I am about stamping the Art Impression way. I’m in love with the artsy, painted look you can create using their stamps, inexpensive Marvy markers, a simple round synthetic paint brush, some tap water, and of course, watercolor paper. Take Care By Lydia Evans

I love what Lydia created with the new Altenew Bamboo Rose stamp set. The roses and leaves in this set have a unique stroke line as they were painted with a hand curved bamboo stick, and that is where the name of this set comes from.

While the flowers, leaves, and butterflies cry out to be colored, they are beautiful enough to leave as is for an elegant look, and the sentiments are full of inspiration. I’m thinking this set is a keeper!

Up, Up & Away Canvas By Jenny Marples

I’m honored to share this stunning travel-themed canvas designed by Jenny Marples. In her original post, Jenny shares a great tip on recycling your used wipes to stamp on. What a great way to create fun texture and visual interest to your projects. The next time you wipe your inky fingers off with a baby wipe, you will have created a background for a future project.

Another great tip that Jenny shared was stamping on fabric with paint or gesso. It’s just as easy as stamping with ink and will often give you a clearer image. Hasselback Chicken Stuffed With Mozzarella, Tomatoes, and Basil Recipe 

Are you looking for something different for dinner tonight? Then you are in luck because you are going to love this tasty chicken recipe that I discovered on the Walking On Sunshine food blog.

Did you know that the term Hasselback is used for potatoes? Make slits in the potato, like an accordion, being careful not to slice the potato all the way through, then stuff the slits with bacon and cheese.
