Saturdays-with-LeAnn

Well, another week has flown by and I do hope you all had a wonderful week.  It is so fun this time of year to start planning those fall projects, so sit back, relax, and enjoy. It is time to show you some fun projects that will bring oodles of creative inspiration to your day!

Captured Moments By Cathy Cafun

Today I want to inspire you with this beautiful layout that has a lovely vintage/shabby chic feel.  I love the soft muted brown, cream, and blue colors, with a beautiful range of floral and textures that give it that rustic feel.  This layout has all the components of a perfect page.  Micro-beads are a fabulous way to add more texture to your layout.  Cathy used a touch of gold micro-beads on the leaves by dipping a small brush in clear gloss varnish and randomly brushing over the leaves, which really gives them a pop.

Captured Moments

Cathy added a beautiful lacy chipboard coated with Dusty Attic acrylic paint behind the photo to give it a lovely, feminine touch.  She finished it off by adding a touch of lace to the torn layers and hessian twine to frame the photo. This definitely will pop and draw your eyes to the photo.  I hope you have been inspired by this beautiful layout.  Let’s pop on over to “Cathy Can’t Help Herself” where you will find additional details on how this fabulous page was created.  You will find yourself so inspired by Cathy and her wonderful talent.

Happy Fall By Anna-Karin

Here in Utah it is starting to feel more like fall.  The leaves are changing colors and the air is crisp.  I am having a hard time letting go of summer, but I do have to admit I love the different seasons. I especially enjoy this time of year with the vibrant colors and the beauty of fall.  With that being said, I would like to share this adorable card created by Anna-Karin.

Happy Fall

The beauty of Anna-Karin’s card is that it works great for an autumn card or you can turn it into a fun Thanksgiving card.  Anna-Karin always shares techniques that can be applied to different types of projects. The background of her card would look wonderful on a scrapbook page as well.  Come along with me over to Layers Of Ink where she will give you a full tutorial of her step- by-step autumn card.  You will be so inspired that you will want to pull out your embossing folders and stamps and begin your fall crafting!

Blessed By Kay Miller

This card certainly will brighten anyone’s day!  The beautiful watercolored background was created by using Peerless watercolors, then splattered with a little bit of red.  The “Blessed” sentiment is layered three times, adding some of the Fancy Foliage Detail die cuts, giving the the card a pretty, fall flair.

Blessed

This is such a great time of year to feel blessed, so I hope this beautiful card has inspired you to create one of your own handmade designs and mail it off to someone special.  Click here and I will take you on over to My Joyful Moments so Kay can share all of her products that she used in designing her sweet card.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Granola By Kierste Wade

With school being back in session, you probably need some yummy snack ideas for lunch, a even or quick, running-out-the-door breakfast idea.  And who doesn’t love granola?  Your kiddos will think you are the best ever!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Granola

The basic recipe is so easy and yummy and you can really add anything you want to it.  You can create it adding chocolate or peanut butter chips, raisins or craisins, and your favorite nuts.  If you are a coconut lover you will want to be sure to add that into your granola, too.  Your family will go crazy over this, so you might want to make a double batch it as it won’t last long!  Click here and I will take you on over to A Homemade Life Simply Kierste where she will share the ingredients and recipe with you.  Enjoy! 🙂

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful week ahead and I will see you next Saturday with some more great projects.  Be sure to check out the last few Stamp & Scrapbook Expo shows of the year.
