Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here to share with you a card I created for Mother’s Day. This buttons inspired Mother’s Day card is easy to create! All you need is two circle punches (or circle dies). The circle punches I used are 1 1/2″ and 1″. These gorgeous patterned papers are from the new Wedding Bliss collection by Echo Park Paper.
I punched nine circles from several pieces of the 6×6 patterned papers. I layered them together with coordinating but not identical patterns. The circles fit perfectly into a 3×3 grid. I used just a small bit of adhesive to stick the circles on the card base because I knew I would be stitching the circles into place. Then the circles were layered and adhered onto the card front, I used my paper piercer to poke holes for the stitching. By poking four holes in the middle of each circle and stitching an X in the center. The circles now look like buttons. After stitching all the circles in place. I stamped the sentiment on scraps of patterned paper, cut them out, and adhered them to the front of the card. (The stamps are also from Echo Park Paper.)
I love this card and I’m thinking that my mom (who is a quilter) will love it as well. My hope is that you’ll be inspired to create your own Button Inspired Mother’s Day Card. Have a great Thursday! I’ll see you again next week.
Here’s another Mother’s Day project that you’ll love.
