Hello, my crafty friends! Another week has flown by, and here we are again with an inspirational day on Weekly Scrapper. I have been collecting some really fun projects to share with you today. Now that we are getting into the busy summer months, I hope that you can find some time to create some of your own projects. Set aside some time for yourself this weekend and enjoy the things you love to do. You deserve it!
Dream Big By Kim Stewart
Gelatos are a fun way to add color to your scrapbook layouts, mini albums, and other paper crafting projects. Faber Castell Gelatos are great for watercolor techniques. One thing that I love about the Gelatos is that they are so versatile. You can really come up with so many different ways how to use them. I love the way Kim added just a small touch of color to her beautiful layout.
Kim’s layout is very simple, but also documents her happy and everyday memories with her photos. Kim used some cut elements from the Dream On Paper collection by Pinkfresh Studios. Don’t you just love all the simple and colorful elements? Get creative with these fun shaped stickers, they are the perfect accent to your project. I bet your creative wheels are turning, so let me take you over to Kim’s personal blog Happy Like Yellow where you will see so many more of her inspirational projects.
Being Unique By Lorraine Aquilina
Here is a way to speed up your crafting! Rather than fussy cutting stamped images, use images that have coordinating steel dies. These thin metal dies are so easy to use. Cut a mat and then stamp the image on top – it is just that easy! Lorraine used the Zig Real Brush Markers to color her owl. I just love the sparkle she added to the eye shadow!
Create a stenciled background to add texture to your card like Lorraine did. She used some white embossing paste and stencil before splattering with inks and adding a sprinkling of glitter. I know you are dying to find out where to get this adorable stamp and die. Don’t worry, just click here and I will take you over to Lorraine’s Loft where she has a full detailed list of supplies she used for her card. You are going to love her blog and will certainly be inspired by her wonderful projects!
