2017 Year in Review Layout

Year in Review Layout by Becki Adams for @scrapbookexpo #ssbe2018 #ssbeblog #scrapbooking

Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends, Becki here, to share a 2017 Year in Review layout with you. At the end of the year, I always like to look back through the photos that I’ve taken throughout the year. Looking back through your photos is a great way to reminisce and remember all the great times, hard times, and accomplishments of the past year. I wish I could say that I’ve created a “year in review” layout at the end of each year, but I haven’t. Sometimes, I simply forget. For 2017, I did remember though so I have my 2017 year in review layout to share with you today.

For this layout I chose 10 photos that represented our year. Not all of them are happy memories, in fact, some of them are very sad, hard memories, BUT they are part of our story and a BIG part of our year. Those photos needed to be included.

Each photo is printed at 2 inches square. I print most of my photos at home, mostly for convenience but the quality is great too.

To simplify the creative process, I created this layout using one collection (Shades of Color Soup by Jillibean Soup). I love working within a single collection.

It’s so nice to have everything match and not have to think as much about my product choices. In the corner of each photo I placed a number sticker. To the right of the photos I adhered my journaling strips. Each strip tells the short story of each photo. Next to the journaling strips is also a number that corresponds with the photo. This photo came together within an hour. The most time consuming part of the process was printing the photos and the journaling.

I’m so happy with how my 2017 year in review layout came together. Do you create a year in review layout? I’d love to see what you create. If you have created a layout, leave a link in the comment section below. I promise to come check it out. Thank you for stopping by. I’ll see you again next week.

While I don’t do scrapbooking myself, I can certainly appreciate the time and love that goes into it. This is a beautiful layout and such a nice way to wrap up the years highlights. Thanks for sharing.
