Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to another week on the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog. I hope you are enjoying a beautiful Sunday and that you are ready for today’s creative therapy. After the busy week that you’ve just survived, you deserve a little creative time to unwind.
Getting Wordy With Jess Foster Layout
If journaling on your scrapbook pages doesn’t come easy for you, you are not alone. Many of us struggle with how, when, and where to add our thoughts and feelings to a layout. But with a little help from Jess, journaling on any layout is a breeze so be sure to check out her article for additional tips & tricks.
Many of you know that I am a big fan of journaling. Photos are priceless but sharing your thoughts and feelings are equally important. Thirty years from now we might not remember all the little details that made the moment so special. I must confess even now things leave the building and don’t always return in a timely manner! 😉 Kudos to you for taking the time to preserve your unique journey; your loved ones will appreciate it for many years to come.
Thank You For You Kindness By Nichol Spohr
Kindness is something that should be acknowledged, don’t you agree? Even the smallest act of kindness is always appreciated and I can’t think of a better way to show your appreciation than by sending one of your handmade cards.
Nichol has a great video sharing exactly how this beautiful card comes together, click here and I will take you over to her blog, I wouldn’t want you to miss out on all the creative techniques that Nichol has to share. Keep up the great job you are doing spreading kindness one handmade card at a time.
Note/Travel Book By Amber Sheaves
On this artsy notebook, Amber used one of my favorite dies, Eileen Hull’s Journal Die by Sizzix. This is one of those “need it in your life” tools. The possibilities are endless! You can make your own customized journals. Think about it, prayer journals, art journals, travel journals, oh my!! The gorgeous cover was die cut from watercolor paper and inked with Faded Jeans and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks creating the perfect background for those fun stamps,
Lois created a notebook and sketchbook for the inside and embellished the pages with Tim Holtz Wildflowers 2 Die set. I highly recommend stopping by Lorraine’s Loft to check it out. I hope you’ve been inspired to create a journal (or ten) of your own.
