Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to Stamp & Scrapbook Expo’s blog. As always, it’s an honor to have the opportunity to share projects designed by some of the most talented people in our very creative industry. Here are a few projects that recently inspired me to get my creative mind moving and I hope they inspire you as well.
Kerri Bradford Studio: So Yeah Layout
Do you typically include multiple photos on your scrapbook pages, or are you a single photo kind of scrapper? I personally go for multiple photos which is why I was so inspired by Laura’s Layout. The simple clean lines allow her black and white photos to take center stage. Your eye automatically goes to the photos, then to the journaling, then the background, which is how it show be, right?

Distress Oxide Technique – Stamping with Water
I do love my distress oxides and am always on the lookout for new techniques to share with you. Since distress oxides react magically to water you can create some pretty amazing backgrounds. Big hugs to Heidi for sharing this fun technique. One can never have too many ways to use distress oxides and now that there are even more new colors out, it’s even more fun!

Little Book of Snark by Josefine Fourage
If it makes you laugh, it has to be good, right? Josefine had me at snarky and Dyan Reaveley stamps and inks. What’s not to love, art with a snarky side? Just hearing the word snarky makes me smile. The definition of snarky is “crotchety, snappish. sarcastic, impertinent, or irreverent in tone or manner, rudely sarcastic or disrespectful; snide.” That’s straight out of Webster’s! It’s no wonder that when the word is used, peoples’ ears perk up, a little drama is pretty much guaranteed. 🙂

Are you trying to eat a little healthier but need a little help? If so, then you are going to love this Tofu and Vegetable Stirfry that can be on the table in under half an hour. I know tofu sometimes gets a bad rap for being bland, but the spicy Asian marinade really adds lots of flavor to this pretty healthy dish. I hope you’ve been inspired to give it a try.
