Sundays With Lorraine

Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to Stamp & Scrapbook Expo’s blog.  The holidays are upon us and if you’re like me, it’s time for some serious crafting!  Let’s get started, shall we?

First Noel: Layout Inspiration by Jowilna

With the holidays right around the corner, I thought you would enjoy this sweet Christmas-themed layout.  I love Kaiser Craft’s new First Noel Christmas collection.  I must confess I’m not a big fussy cutter, but this layout inspired me to go the extra mile.  Creative, inexpensive, and gorgeous, what’s not to love?

The way Jowilna cut out the embellishments from the patterned papers Hark, Wrapped, and Wonderful and layered them helped to create the perfect layout.  If you’d like to download the instructions, click here and I will be happy to take you over to Kaiser Craft’s blog.

Die Cut Truck and Christmas Trees Card by Kitti Caracciolo

Kitti really has a gift for creating beautiful scenes by combining multiple dies cuts.  Not only is this card adorable but look at all the dies that were used!  The new Rubbernecker Stamps TruckDeckle HillsPine Tree ForestSmall Bird, and Tiny Leaves dies.  I have to share a little rave about the Truck Die.  This die has 14 parts that you can cut out in one pass.  Talk about fine detail with minimal effort!  This is definitely a “need it in my life” die, just wait until you see it in person.

This adorable winter-themed card is the perfect way to send a hug through the mail.  Kudos to you for sharing the love one handmade card at a time.  I hope this sweet card inspires you to look at your collection of dies in a new light.  The possibilities are endless!

DIY Buffalo Check Cloth Bandana Napkins

Wouldn’t a set of these cute holiday napkins be a great hostess gift for one of those upcoming parties that you will be attending?  With a little help from your creative friend Angie you, too, can have these ready to go in minutes.

Would you believe these cute napkins started out as 99 cent bandanas?  Click here and I will be happy to escort you over to Angie’s blog Kick Of Time so you can check out her 1-minute video.  I’m not kidding, you can make one in less than 5 minutes!  Check one gift off your list!

Glazed Sheet Pan Chicken with Butternut Squash and Apples

I hope you’re ready for an easy, delicious, and healthy meal.  This yummy meal comes together easily since you basically cook everything using a sheet pan.  If you are watching your sugar, you’ll be happy to know that the glaze is sweetened using a date glaze, which is free of added sugars but packed with flavor.  Click here and I’ll take you over to Michelle’s blog Paleo Running Momma so you can print out the recipe.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have been inspired to give a few of these ideas a try.  See you next Sunday!

Hugs to all,

Lorraine
