Quilted Card

Danielle header

I love the look and the charm of quilts, and to add that look to a card is even better than the real thing, in my opinion (well, less time-consuming, anyway)! Today I have a charming little “quilted” card for you, made with the Quilted: Summer stamp set and dies.

First, I die cut the frame and flower with my Cricut Cuttlebug™ manual cutting machine. Then I used the coordinating stamps to stamp the pieces to make them look like a pinwheel. I left some of them white.

I stamped the stem and flower and attached all of the pieces to a white card base. The four larger pieces were popped up with dimensional adhesive, and I added some sequins, a piece of twine, and a stamped border at the top.

Last is a stamped sentiment from Scripted.

And here is the finished card!

I created another card set made with the triangles in the stamp set. The background is stamped with them! Don’t you just love the charm of all of the patterns together? You can view this card set HERE. If you don’t have these particular stamps, you could stamp squares and trim them into triangles or use patterned paper scraps to achieve this look!
