Best Friends with Interactive Waterfall Element

I have several favorite artists, one which is Gabrielle Pollacco.  She just amazes me.  She has a very unique style, and comes up with such beautiful creations. This layout “Best Friends” is one of many of her personalized layouts with such fun and different embellishments.

Be sure to visit her blog Such a Pretty Mess to see more of her wonderful talent that she shares with us.

This adorable layout was made with Webster’s Pages Best Friends Collection, using the papers, trims, transparencies and their adorable new Storymarkers (below).

Using these cute book markers in a different way, she combined paper and the ribbon pull to create an interactive design on the page.  Here is a link to a great video tutorial on how to create a Waterfall Card.

This photo above shows a side view of how the top piece flips up to reveal the next piece underneath as you pull the ribbon.

This photo shows each section as you pull, the top piece flips up and reveals the tab underneath.  You can add a little stamping and heat embossing on the paper tabs and then if desired simply write names on them.

The floral embellishments were made from the two smallest petal designs from Spellbinders Rose Creations die cuts.  The center of the flowers are punched from pink cardstock using the smallest retro flower punch from Paper Shapers (EK Success).  Thank you again to Gabrielle for this beautiful layout and all the fun tips.

Have a Creative Day!
