With Halloween just around the corner, I knew this would be a fun post. Chicken wire and gauze come together to create ghoulish ghost figures that can stand on their own or fly from the trees. The kids are going to love these on Halloween.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
- Step 1: Cut Chicken Wire
- Step 2: Form the Shape of the Head
- Step 3: Form the Torso
- Step 4: Create Support
- Step 5: Form the Arms
- Step 6: Attach Body Forms
- Step 7: Add Shoulder Support
- Step 8: Form the Legs
- Step 9: Attach Base to Torso
- Step 10: Create Skirt
- Step 11: Complete Body Form
- Step 12: Cover With Cheesecloth
- Step 13: Hang Half-Figure Ghosts
You will need:
Materials
- Semi-transparent fabric
- S-hooks
- Thin Wire
- Mannequin Head or something round
- Roll of chicken wire with 1-inch cells
- Roll of chicken wire with 2-inch cells
Tools
- Wire Cutters
- Cheesecloth
- Scissors
- Wire Hanger
- Work Gloves
Halloween tends to bring out the kid in all of us. I love to decorate for Fall and Halloween. This is going to be a great addition to my back yard decor. I hesitate to put it the front yard as I might scare the little ones. 🙁
