Bloom Where You’re Planted

This beautiful card designed by Lisa, author of the Indy Mermaid Blog, is sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face. It’s a perfect example of shabby chic meets simple elegance. This card was created using the Blooming For You stamp set.

Bloom Where You're Planted

I love every little detail – the soft colors, the sweet flowers that add wonderful dimension, and let’s not overlook that gorgeous frame that draws your eye to the sentiment. Who wouldn’t feel all the love that was put into this heartfelt card?

The papers are from Prima’s Natures Garden stack and the strip of butterflies down the side is Tim Holtz Tissue Tape. The edges were distressed with a DIA.

The stamp is one of Tim Holtz’s Spring Sprung set. It was stamped with Wendy Vecchi Fern Green Archival Ink and then stamped again without reinking for a ghosting effect. The butterflies are a punch and were covered with Doodlebug Designs Sugar Coating. The crinkle ribbon is from Little Scrap Pieces and the button is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button die.

The gorgeous frame is from The Paper Studio Spare Parts. The sentiment is from the Blooming for You stamp set. Lisa heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder to match the frame.

I hope that today’s project has inspired you to create one of your own beautiful, handmade cards.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit and I hope that you have a very creative day.
