Framed Dry Erase Board

Good day to you. Do you need a little help with organizing your busy life? Don’t we all? You are going to love today’s project that I discovered on the Want2Scrap Blog which was designed by Katie from Handmade by K8. I highly recommend stopping by for a visit, you are sure to be inspired.

Katie started out with a simple inexpensive 8.5 x 11 frame from Ikea. You can easily adapt the size & just use what you have on hand. Kate chose the 302 collection by FarmHouse Paper Company, but again feel free to use your favorite patterned paper & embellishments to make it your own. Start out by removing the backing and trim the background paper to fit inside your frame. Then, replace the backing. All of the embellishments are on the outside of the glass insert which is nice as it adds a bit of dimension to your project & also allows you to use any frame since you don’t have to accommodate for the embellishments under the glass. Now for the fun part, Katie started with Nestabling Fancy Tags Two in Silver. After adding it to the frame, she added the “For the Record” chipboard pieces. Next, she added a little pocket folder from the Junk Drawer embellishment pack and layered it up with some 302 chipboard and stickers.

On the bottom of the pocket, she added a strip of the beautiful Want2Scrap Chevron Border. Don’t we all need a little Bling in our lives? Katie decided to tuck a few hand cut tags inside, what a great finishing touch. On the first tag, she added some of the smallest of the 72 Count Pearls in Gun Metal to the “Monday” sticker. On the second tag, she used an Antique Silver Star charm.
