Today’s post is a reminder that Spring is on it’s way. I know it’s hard to believe with all the snowfall & freezing temperatures across the nation but today’s inspiration piece is sure to bring a smile to your face. I would like to send out a big thank you to Kittie Caracciolo for sharing this cheerful card with us. It’s hard to believe that this card was created with basically just paper & some dies. I love all the dimension that Kittie was able to create by layering & molding her paper, she used the Impression Obsession Arched Fence, Tall Grass, Small Grass Border, Memory Box Flower Mound, Puffy Clouds, Mini Clouds and Flying Birds to create the scene and made the frame using Spellbinders Matting Basics A.
Kittie cut two sections of tall grass to use as the flower stems (too clever) & precut all three colors of the flowers & then just had to form them with a stylus and molding pad. She attached them to the stems with glossy accents. I love how she cut 2 of the small grass borders than put one in front of the fence & one behind the fence. It’s the fine details that make this card so beautiful.
The frame was cut and attached to the card base with mounting tape.Kittie attached the grass inside the frame and then attached the fence directly to the frame with an ATG adhesive. The flower stems were tucked in behind the fence and attached just at the base of the stems so the flowers could be free and natural looking.
Kittie attached the clouds in the sky background & added one flying bird for the perfect finishing touch. The completed Card size: 5.5” x 4.25” .
