Merry Traditions

Holidays always give us a great reason to create a fun layout. These layouts are a perfect way to capture and preserve the feeling of those precious holiday memories as we enjoy the joy and warmth of the season. This layout was created by Melody Rupple, a wonderful design team member for My Favorite Things. Be sure to visit her fun blog, A Paper Melody.

Melody created a two-page layout combining a 12 x 12 page and a pocket page layout. She spent time creating this darling 12 x 12 layout but also saved some time using a pocket page to encorporate more photos. This is such a great combination of two styles of scrapbooking.

Melody started her page by stamping snowflakes and embossed them with white embossing powder. She embellished the layout with elements from the Document It Holiday Traditions stamp set. Once again she used embossing powder over her stamp on black cardstock. The red snowflake is cut out with the Let It Snowflake die cut.

“Merry” is cut out with the Little Letters Die-namics and “Traditions” is cut with the word dies in the Accent It December Memories Die-namics.

The label is also part of the fun stamp set.

When creating your pocket page make a few easy inserts to accent the page. Add a few of your treasured photos and very important – don’t forget to add your journaling. Here are the two pages shown together.
