Hello, friends! Welcome to Inspiration Station with Becki Adams. Today we’re talking about using the new Minc™ machine from Heidi Swapp to create a beautiful card.

I think that over half of the cards I create are Thank You cards. I love to send cards of appreciation to my friends and family.

Let’s get started creating today’s Thank You card – the first thing I did was gather a few supplies.

As you can see I have a 6×6 Paper Pad from the Pebbles Cottage Living collection, a piece of polka dot burlap (also from Pebbles), a butterfly die cut set and the Minc™ Machine from Heidi Swapp, and a very well used and loved stamp set from Technique Tuesday and Ali Edwards.

I started by cutting a piece of burlap about a 1/4″ smaller on each side than the card base.

Then it was time to add some gold foil to the beautiful butterfly die cuts.

The Minc machine is so easy to use! My favorite feature of the machine is that you can add gold foil to anything that is printed on a laser printer or a copy machine (that uses toner). I bought these butterflies premade because they’re so pretty and they’re ready to use.

Now that the butterflies are covered in beautiful gold foil, it’s time to work on the sentiment.

I simply stamped the sentiment with black ink onto a piece of pink patterned paper.

Now that I have all the elements of the card finished it’s time to put it all together. I used Zip Dry glue to put this card together because it’s a very strong adhesive that dries quickly. Burlap can be tricky to adhere, but this glue worked perfectly.

I added some additional strips of patterned paper, a button, and some machine stitching to finish the card.

This is one of my favorite cards; I love how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by the Weekly Scrapper blog. I’ll see you next Thursday for another edition of “Inspiration Station.”
