Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started crafting: Hi! I am Ginny Hughes and I live in New Hampshire with my husband of 16 years and 5 children, ages 5-11. I work part time at a hospital in medical records and I am a scrapbook addict. 😉 I started scrapbooking around 8 years ago then I took a break for a few years. After all of my kids were born I dove right back in and haven’t stopped. I initially got into scrapbooking because I wanted something more than just sticking my photos in boxes, then not looking at them and enjoying them. I am addicted to grid paper, enamel dots, machine sewing on my layouts, iced chai tea, & BBC television shows.

Favorite thing to create: Layouts for sure! I dabble in pocket pages as well, but my heart is with 8.5×11 scrapbook pages.

What do you love about scrapbooking?Getting to play with cool products and paper and glue is amazing fun, but getting those memories down on paper is the heart of it all.

5 fun facts about yourself:
1. I love Mexican food and could seriously eat it everyday.
2. I am named after both of my grandmothers.
3. I love to binge watch television shows on Netflix.
4. I like to travel and have been to almost all 50 states.
5. I snore so loudly that I usually end up sleeping on the couch every night. My poor husband. 😉

Here is the amazing layout Ginny made for her spotlight feature:

TACKLE by Ginny Hughes

This is a very typical layout for me, but I also did something that I never do: handwrite my journaling! I am really trying to make an effort to get my handwriting (no matter how much I dislike it) down on the page. My son just signed up for tackle football and I am one nervous mama, but I need to let go and let him try something he really wants to do. I love those big tile letters; they add such a punch to the layout.

BOOKSHELF by Ginny Hughes

I love to combine digital items with paper products. The books were printed out on the background paper then filled in with physical paper and embellishments.

THE END by Ginny Hughes

The little things, the everyday moments, are my favorite things to scrapbook. This page is all about that; it doesn’t need much else, just the story.

STACKED by Ginny Hughes

I love lines and stacked items on a layout, pretty items in a pretty little row. To me it is visually pleasing and a fun page design.

SNACK ATTACK by Ginny Hughes

Alphabet stamps are probably one of my favorite scrapbooking items. They are so versatile and can be used for more than titles, I like to find new ways to incorporate them into my layouts.
