Freebie Friday with Jen Walker

Happy Friday (actually Saturday)!  This blog post is coming to you a little late this week.  There are so many amazing things going on behind the scenes here at Scrapbook Expo that I am posting this Freebie Friday today instead of it’s usual timing as I was busy, busy, busy yesterday.

This week, I am sharing with you an amazing product called the 2016 Creative Planner. This special issue is from our friends Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine.

2016 Scrapbook & Cards Today Creative Planner

This coil bound planner is filled with exclusive sketches from Cathy Zielske, how-to photo techniques, and scrapbook layouts created by 14 incredible designers.  Each month features a full page of creative tools to keep you inspired, including page starters, photo prompts, and areas to jot down notes and memories. Everyone who purchases a planner will also receive bonus monthly cut files too!

2016 Creative Planner Companion Stamps

I have used the Scrapbook & Cards Today planners for a number of years. I LOVE the prompts on the pages that remind me to record things I am thinking of that I can use on the layouts I create for that time period.

Friends of Scrapbook Expo

I am excited to be giving away a 2016 Scrapbook & Cards Today Creative Planner as well as the companion set of stamps to one lucky Scrapbook Expo friend.

  28. Corey says:

I adore scrapbook magazines (and ads, and catalogs…) because they remind me of what I love so much about this hobby. Cherished photos + heartfelt words + handmade art = the story of life seen through my eyes. i most love to read anything that sparks my imagination: layout designs, new uses for tools, scrapbook supply organization, color combinations, design basics, journaling ideas, and photography tips. I’m less interested in articles about pocket scrapbooking, non-scrapbook scrapbooking, or digital scrapbooking (although that’s changing a bit now that I’ve added the Project Life app to my toolbox).

  29. Kim says:

This planner looks awesome for getting me back in the groove after a cross country move. This year jas afforded me no craffing time. New Years Resolution…one completed project or layout and monthly cards done and sent out! The magazine is a great reference showing new techniques, layouts and sketches!

  30. marylouh says:

    into my greeting cards.
    thanks.

  31. Kristina LeCloux says:

I love reading about the tips and techniques that people send into the magazines. While I aspire to be a over the top scrapbooker/ cardmaker (like what some of the designers do), that is just not me. New ways to use products is also a favorite of mine. More bang for your buck!

  32. Amy King says:

  34. Rhonda Neith says:

I am new to paper crafting and am just learning the “art of scrapbooking”. I wish I had known more about this wonderful craft when my children and my grandchildren that I raised were little but I guess I was so busy “making a living” I didn’t live. Now I see all these beautiful projects and wish I had preserved the memories for the kids. I’m hoping to share this wonderful craft with family so they won’t miss out on saving the memories like I did.

I love looking through the paper scrapping magazines for inspiration, tips, and they really get my juices flowing. Honestly I haven’t started scrapbooking because I love making cards and have no time for both. But I have learned so much from the techniques used in both crafts. Dont let this make you think I wouldn’t love the planner. The planner I have purchased for years has stopped being made and it’s the perfect time to make another. This one sounds wonderful.

  48. Jan G. says:

I guess I really like looking at color combinations….some I would have never thought of. Next favorite thing is all the different styles offered. I sometimes get into a rut when I do things because it’s comfortable, but in looking at other peoples items it makes me want to try new ways to do things.

  49. Renee says:

Getting back into scrapbooking for myself no more kids at home. Time to scrapbook what i want to do. This planner would keep me on track.

  50. Maureen Dolloff says:

I would love to win a magazine like this, to get ideas of paper colors o use, and layouts to make. I would like to flip through the pages to see if this is a subscription worth buying. This looks like it has a lot of fun inspirations in it. what I like about looking in magazines is when I find a new posting using items I already own that gives me new ideas on how to use that stamp set or product. I also LOVE learning new techniques – anything to spice up my cards and pages is great!

By the way, i received the Fun Stampers Journey Kit of the Month kit that i won from your posting on 10/23 – it looks fabulous and I cannot wait until i have some time to sit down and play with it. thank you so much!

  56. snazzy jj says:

Love your expos, this blog and SCT! I have the summer copy in front of me right now. I enjoy looking at ways to “kick up” my projects. I would also like ideas of including stamps on my pages.

  57. Lynn says:

I am interested in your give away because I have been tinkering around with different things and am one of those that has to redo what I did. I need some tips and good ideas that can open my spectrum and get going and quit doubting myself. Plus I have six yr.old twin granddaughter’s (miracle babies), that enjoy crafting and have really good ideas. We have fun together teaching each other new tricks. I would enjoy someday to do craft shows along with my granddaughters on this type of thing and some other things I have lined up. I /we could really benefit with the things in the drawing on Thursday. My grandchildren will be so excited and I would be elated for them to help grandma generate new things. I can’t wait for the day to come and hopefully we can win this package of things. We are ready. Full speed ahead my darlings!! Let’s go. Don’t Worry … Be Happy!!

  58. Nunzia says:

  59. Colleen Hagedon says:

I love to see all the layouts and projects. I like to see what people write on their pages. I would say I do a little more looking and doing the pages or projects than just reading the stories.

  60. Trish Allard says:

This year’s planner was my first. I really found it useful and it was always my go to planner. It was easy to carry it with me and when my craft room was full of scraps and glue and who know what, I could always find my planner. I will have one for year 2016 one way or another! thanks!
