Welcome to Weekly Scrapper! I’m happy you’ve been able to find some time for yourself to enjoy being creative. Sundays are special to me because this is the time that I get to share my passion for crafting with you when I’m not teaching at a Scrapbook Expo. So sit back, relax, and enjoy today’s inspiration.
Goofball designed by Riikka Kovasin
I instantly fell in love with the bright, happy feel that this adorable layout has. Riikka truly has a gift for layering while balancing her designs perfectly. This allows her priceless photo to take center stage. The first thing your eyes are drawn to is the photo, then you take in all the fine detail. After all, scrapbooking should be all about the memories; the background should support your photo and not compete for attention. This layout is a perfect example of how that’s done. 😉
Thanks, Riikka, for being such an inspiration and allowing us to share your gorgeous design with our readers. Click here and I will be happy to take you over to the Paperiliitin so you can take a closer look at all the love that was put into Riikka’s work of art. Happy scrapping, my friends!
Peace and Strength designed by Debbie Olson
If this gorgeous card doesn’t inspire you to break out your alcohol markers, nothing will. It blows my mind to see how Debbie brought her stamped images (or in this case, a digi file image) to life. I’m in awe of her coloring skills; I want to color like her when I grow up, don’t you?
Come with me over to Debbie’s blog post where she shares step-by-step instructions on how to create this beautiful card. Whether you’re a seasoned stamper or you’ve just started, this is one tutorial you don’t want to miss. Thanks, Debbie, for being such an inspiration.
One Of A Kind designed by Brenda Brown
Would you believe that this stunning tag started out as a mop up taken from a box of leftovers from a previous project? I know, I was shocked, too! This is the reason that as crafters we tend to save a bit more than most people. In our world it’s just the beginning of another piece of art, right? We all do it!
I’d like to thank Brenda for sharing this lovely project. I hope you’re as inspired as I am to give this resist technique a try. I’d be happy to bring you over to Brenda’s blog Country View Crafts so you can jot down the supply list. You’re finally going to play with that Tim Holtz Microglaze that you purchased a while back. Have fun!
Kitchen Tablet Holder
I fell in love with this adorable handmade iPad stand; how perfect this is for when you’re following a recipe that you’ve pinned on your iPad. An old cutting board, a child’s building block, and a scrabble tile holder, who knew? Cute, functional, and oh-so-easy to make, ya gotta love it!
You might want to make several of these little treasures; wouldn’t they make a great gift for the holidays? Click here and I will lead the way over to the Mamie Janes blog for complete instructions and a supply list. Thanks, Jane, for sharing this great trash-to-treasure project.
Panda Express Sweet Fire Chicken Copycat
Did you know you can have a healthier version of your favorite Sweet Fire Chicken in the comfort of your own home? I’d like to thank Chungah, author of the amazing blog Damn Delicious, for sharing this yummy treat.
You’re going to love the perfect combination of sweetness with just the right amount of spice. Click here and I will take you over so you can print out the recipe. Not only is this dish oh-so-tasty, but you can have it on the table in under 1/2 hour. You know what that means, you can go back to your creative space where you belong. 😉
