Happy Tuesday, card makers! Today I’m working with the “Don’t Forget to Write” card kit by Papertrey Ink to create these 4×4″ mini cards! Creating a little set of them is a fun gift for family and friends! They can be packaged in a clear card box or put together into a stationery set for gift giving!
First, I have cut a card base with the 4×4″ scalloped card die and folded it in half to create my mini cards (with a top fold).
Next, I die cut the square frame and stamped it with the striped square stamp and the flourishes in the corners with the coordinating stamp set from the kit. I die cut the floral piece and stamped it with the coordinating floral stamps in the kit also.
After die cutting the “Sending” sentiment, I used an ink blender to add some orange ink to the bottom of the die cut word (sponging the ink onto the word). I added a piece of striped patterned paper onto the card front and stamped “birthday cheer” in the center.
Last, I adhered the large die cut sentiment “Sending” over the top, just adhering the ends of the word to the frame, but not the center of the word, so it pops up off the card a little bit!
I made a coordinating card with the same design, but different colors, to go with it…”Just a Note.”
I hope this inspires you to make something pretty today. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. See you next time!
Danielle
These are darling cards. Perfect for putting notes on and place in a child’s lunch box or your hubbie’s briefcase when he goes to work. Also, excellent to place on a pillow after making the bed to greet that special person: your kids or mom and dad or siblings etc. Just the right size to say “I love you ” on it. Thanks for the lovely creation you shared.
Thank you! Oh, yes…these are great ideas for the smaller sized cards!
Just lovely Danielle!
Thank you, Jan!
Can you reply with the source for the Scalloped Card Die? I’m admiring the small note cards and really like that base for the background. Lovely cards!
Hi Kathy! The scalloped card die is part of the ‘Don’t Forget to Write’ Basics collection from PaperTrey Ink. It appears to be on pre-order right now. You can see the kit here: https://www.papertreyink.com/index.php?p=dont_forget_towrite You would have to contact PaperTrey Ink directly to find out if the dies can be purchased separately.
Thank you, Kathy! Jen is correct, it’s from the Don’t Forget to Write card kit by Papertrey Ink. The dies are not sold separately for these particular kits, however.
