Hi Weekly Scrapper friends! Becki here, to share with you a set of cards I created using background stamps. Back in December I created a set of Christmas tags using background stamps. I thought that it would be fun to create a set of cards with the same background stamps.

On the first two cards I created, I used a Versamark stamp pad with gold embossing powder. On the “thanks” card I stamped the entire background with a wood grain stamp. I layered a doily, a die cut, and the sentiment sticker on top of the background to complete the card.

For the second card created with Versamark ink and gold embossing powder, I trimmed the background to fit inside a fabric frame. I added a tag, a die cut, and some pom pom trim to the bottom of the frame to finish the card.

The last card in the set was created with a different stamp and different embossing powder. I used a glittery clear embossing powder. It’s hard to see in the photo, but the background of this card is sparkly and gorgeous! I added a small kraft doily, some patterned paper strips, and a sentiment punched from patterned paper to finish the card.

As you can tell, I LOVE working with background stamps. Do you stamp the background on your cards? I’d love to see what you’ve been creating. Thanks for stopping by the Weekly Scrapper blog, and I look forward to seeing you again next week.
