Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. Today I am sharing a card I created by fussy-cutting patterned paper so that it would fit inside a frame die cut.

First, I started with some paper and embellishments from the We R Memory Keepers Flower Girl collection and my PenBlade craft knife.

I cut a journaling card from the Petals patterned paper that I wanted to highlight using a frame from the Card & Frame Kit, but the image was too large.

So, I placed the frame over the image and marked where the inside of the frame crossed over each butterfly’s wing.

I fussy cut around the outside of each wing between the two pencil marks.roree rumph_fussy cut_butterflies card_step4

I then adhered the journaling card behind the frame die cut, pulling the butterfly wings through the center so that they rested on top of the frame.

I trimmed off the excess paper from the journaling card, added the frame to my card front, and embellished the card with die cuts and enamel dots to finish.
