Sundays With Lorraine

Sundays-with-Lorraine

Welcome back to Weekly Scrapper, my crafty friends! When witches go riding and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers “tomorrow is Halloween”! I hope you have loads of fun and take lots of pictures.

Best Costume Ever By Julia Aston

Halloween is the perfect opportunity to be creative. As people all over the world gear to celebrate Halloween, children will be looking forward to trick-or-treating, while adults will be eager to show-off their unique costumes.  This means lots of happy photos will be taken, so let’s get them off our phones and into this adorable Halloween mini album.

Halloween minis are my favorite to create. I love the fact that they are so fast and easy to complete; just think of them as the instant gratification of scrapbooking. I try to make one for each year then I put them out on display and the kids love flipping through them and reminiscing over their favorite past costumes and activities.

Pen and Ink Over Gesso

Doodling helps relieve boredom and frustration and the urge to doodle gets stronger as stress levels rise. Doodling is like a safety valve that allows pressure to be dispelled in a playful and creative way. You all know my motto: “there should be no stress in our craft world” so doodle away my friends, and let the stresses of life slip away as you create something beautiful.

Pen and ink over gesso

Who knew that a black sharpie pen over gesso could create such a gorgeous pies of art? I love the simplicity of pen and ink doodles. Its a fun and creative way to express yourself while at the same time designing some unique pieces to decorate your home or give as gifts. Who wouldn’t love a piece of your art work for the holidays?

Julia Childs’s Beef Bourguignon With Mashed Potatoes

OK guys, this isn’t one of those” dinner in under 30 minutes” recipes but it is so worth the effort. Your friends and family will be talking about this recipe for many moons to come! It will be worth every second. Plus, it makes at least 6 servings, so you can enjoy the fruits of your labor the next day, too!
