Summertime is upon us, and I thought I would share a fun summery card and Sweet Shoppe treat/gift box to coordinate with it! To create these projects, I used the new Colorful Treats stamps, the new Tiny Town: Sweet Shoppe dies and the new Cover Plate: Scallops die, all of which will be available at PapertreyInk.com on July 15th at 10pm EST.
For my sweet treat card, I used a new die called Cover Plate: Scallops. I die cut it with white cardstock and then used Copic markers to color the different scallops before attaching it to the card base! A lollipop and sentiment from the new Colorful Treats stamps and dies was used over the top! I colored in the lollipop with Copic markers, R20 and R29.
Next is a fun little gift box made with the new Tiny Town: Sweet Shoppe dies. I couldn’t help but to use the same fun colors with my treat box as I did on the card.
I cut the main box from the Tiny Town Basics dies, then the rest of the pieces are die cut with the new Tiny Town: Sweet Shoppe dies. The awning stripes are colored with a red Copic marker R29, then glued them over the top of the awning piece, and I did the same for the windows, door, flowers, sign and window boxes, all colored with Copics.
Inside the box is a little condiment cup full of Sweet Tarts. (It has a lid on it, so they don’t fall out.) The condiment cups fit perfectly! The box is tied closed with twine.
I hope you are enjoying your summer and getting much paper crafting time in! Have a great day!
