Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It! Monday post.
Our first show of 2017 in Pleasanton, California is over. I hope all of our Northern California guests had a great time shopping, cropping, and learning this past weekend. Now Expo staff is preparing for our next show in Grapevine, Texas on March 31st – April 1st! Will you be attending?
Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching three “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, and Stamping. We have lots of great products from some awesome manufacturers in these classes, and today I am going to be working with one from our Card Making workshop: Bella Blvd‘s Make Your Mark collection.
If you are able to attend the Latest & Greatest: Card Making workshop, you will receive this awesome sampler kit with the 6×8 Paper Pad, Gift Tags, and Fundamentals Sticker Sheet from the Make Your Mark collection.
It is an amazing collection with bright, vibrant colors, gold accents, and a truly unique and artistic feel.
With all of the beautiful gold accents, I decided to alter my paper to give it a little bit of shimmer. I used a solid paper from the 6×8 Paper Pad, Tonic Studios‘ Embellishment Mousse in Mother of Pearl, and a coffee filter.
I just wrapped the coffee filter around my finger, dabbed it in the Embellishment Mousse, and spread it in circles around my paper panel.
It dried almost immediately and gave the paper a distress, weathered look with a metallic shimmer.
I then used it for the base of my card, adding fussy-cut patterned paper, a tag, and stickers to finish.
This Card Making workshop featuring Bella Blvd’s Make Your Mark collection will also be taught at our shows in Anaheim CA, Milwaukee WI, Orlando FL, and Puyallup WA. We hope you can come join us at one of these shows. We would love to see you there!
I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
