Latest & Greatest: Card Making with Fancy Pants Designs

Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It! Monday post.

Our next show is in Orlando, FL on May 5th-6th! Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching three “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, and Stamping. We have lots of great products from some awesome manufacturers in these classes, and today I am going to be working with a products from our Card Making workshop: Fancy Pants DesignsJoy Parade collection.

In class, each student will receive a Joy Parade sampler pack which includes: a 6×6 Paper Pad, Design Puffy Stickers, and Tags & Labels pack.

Using those items, I created this card:

A lot of layering went into this card and the step-by-step is pretty self-explanatory. But I do want to share how I created the tab.

I started with a 1 1/2 x 3″ strip of patterned paper from the 6×6 Paper Pad and the We R Memory KeepersTab Punch Board. (This is a tool from the Latest & Greatest: Cool Tools workshop.)

I folded the paper in half and inserted it under the Side Tabs punch.

I punched one end, then I flipped the paper over punched the other end on the small tab setting.

This is such a quick and easy way to add tabs to any project!

I layered patterned papers from the 6×6 Paper Pad, two tags and two labels from the Tags & Labels pack, decorated the tab with heart sticker from the Design Puffy Stickers pack, and added ribbon, baker’s twine, and a couple of foam Thickers to finish my sentiment.

I just love this paper collection. It is so bright and fun, and it is perfect for projects celebrating any happy occasion!

This Card Making workshop featuring Fancy Pants Designs’ Joy Parade collection will also be taught at our show in Puyallup WA. We hope you can come join us at one of these shows. We would love to see you there!

I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
