Saturdays With LeAnn

Recipe Box

Welcome back, my friends, to another wonderful Saturday here on the Weekly Scrapper blog.  I have some real treasures to share with you today.  I hope that these will inspire you to jump out of that chair and get started making some of these adorable projects on this beautiful summer weekend!

The Best Day By Anita Bownds

You are in for a real treat today!  You’re going to love this shabby chic layout created by such an amazing designer, Anita Bownds. There are so many pretty details on this layout!  Anita created this layout using the Sage & Grace collection by Kaiser Kraft and I know that you will love working with this collection.

The Best Day

This collection was just perfect for creating those fussy cut flower clusters.  Anita added some wood flourishes and tucked them under the flower clusters.  What a great way of adding some dimension to her layout.  I love how Anita made the main focus of her layout the hot air balloon.  Adding two different patterned papers behind it gave it some color and made it really pop out.   Wow, this is such a stunning layout! If you are more of a visual person, then click here and I will lead you on over to a full step-by-step video.  You will not only learn how to create this fabulous layout but will be so inspired by Anita as well.

Happy Birthday Card By Lorraine Aquilina

Are you ready to have some fun creating this background for a card?  Using Dylusions Ink Sprays will give a bright, vibrant look to a card.  I love the fact that the sprays are acid free and non-toxic and come in many splendid colors.  Don’t just stop there, but add some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks, a Circles Cling stamp, and a Robin Cling stamp for your focus.  Now wouldn’t you want a birthday just so you could receive this darling card?  Handmade cards are such a treasure to receive.  There are so many incredible opportunities to let your imagination run wild by creating handmade cards!

Happy Birthday Card

I would like to give a big thank you to Lorraine for sharing her amazing card with us today.  It is so fun to incorporate stamps, inks, embossing powders, sprays, and so much more into your cards. I hope that you are inspired to create and send someone special one of your beautiful handmade cards.  Your card will be forever treasured!  Let’s pop on over to Lorraine’s Loft where you can see many more of her wonderful projects.  Lorraine will always keep you inspired and you will love her creations!

Recipe Box By Manila Guerilla

Who says a recipe box can’t be pretty?  Not long ago I was looking for one of my mother’s recipes and I came upon an old tin box that she kept all of her recipes in.  So many fond memories popped into my head.  When I came across this wonderful make over idea, I knew I needed to give this a try and refurbish her recipe box to something beautiful.  I love the way that Manila made this so simple, but yet it is so pretty.  This is such a wonderful keepsake that will be passed down through many generations.

What a beautiful transformation!  I love the vintage look and the fact that the button is an heirloom makes this even more priceless.  It would be such a treasure to add this charming recipe box to your kitchen.  It will add a touch of memories, along with a beautiful vintage look with a functional design.  Let me take you over to Beulahbee where you will she how she put her sweet recipe box together.

Reese’s Cookie Ice-cream Pops By Six Sisters Stuff

These pops are a combination of cookies and ice-cream that your taste buds are going to love!  The best part is that there should be no guilt when eating these. These are such a perfect summer day treat and your family will beg you to make them again. And they will always want seconds!

Reese's Cookie Ice-cream Pops

Not only did the Reese’s get me all excited to make these, but so did the ice-cream and cookies.  When you combine them, it is an irresistible dessert! These little treats are so easy to make that even your kids and grand kids will be able to help you make them.  The hardest part is waiting for them to set up and freeze.  Let me take you on over to Six Sister’s Stuff where you will get the details on how to put these together.  I think you will love them as much as I do!

I hope that you’ve enjoyed these projects today, and that you were able to gather some creative thoughts and inspiration for your next project.  I can’t wait until you see what I have to share with you next Saturday!  Until then, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hugs to all,

LeAnn
