Stamped Birthday Card Inspiration

Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here to share with you an adorable birthday card that I created with the Lawn Fawn Loads of Fun stamp set. Even though I don’t consider myself a stamper, I do love Lawn Fawn Stamps. I combined this stamp set with the Fancy Pants Family & Co. 6×6 patterned paper pad to create this fun birthday card. I used a few bits of patterned paper to create the card front. Then, I added my stamped images on top of the patterned paper.

Instead of coloring all of the stamped images, I decided to do some paper piecing. The individual pieces of laundry are stamped on different patterned papers. The different patterns on each piece of clothing make them stand out from one another. Not only did I want the laundry to fill the basket, I wanted them in the dryer as well. I trimmed the pieces of laundry to fit right inside of the window of the dryer. After I had the laundry basket and the dryer finished, I added the sentiment to the left of the dryer. At that point, I thought that I was finished with the card. But while I was tidying my desk, I looked at the card again and decided that it wasn’t finished. What laundry card would be complete without a clothesline? This one wasn’t! I quickly stamped a few more pieces of laundry on a few patterned paper scraps, adhered a small piece of string above the sentiment and added the laundry to the clothesline with a bit of adhesive. This card turned out so cute! I couldn’t be happier with the results. I think I’ll have a niece or nephew that will get a big kick out of getting a birthday card with underwear on the front. I can’t wait for the next birthday in our family. This card will be perfect. Thank you for stopping by the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog.
