Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper. I hope you are enjoying an amazing Mother’s Day surround by those you love. If you are crafting something beautiful together, even better. Hugs to all of you amazing women!
Have you seen Tim’s Holtz new Assemblage Collection yet? I know I don’t typically write about a particular line – but I couldn’t resist sharing this “Holy Cow” collection with you. It is my understanding that this jewelry line is available exclusively at JoAnns Craft stores. Click here and I’ll take you over for a peek. With the Assemblage Collection, you not only can make unique jewelry to wear but you can also use the pieces to create some great embellishments for your scrapbooks, planners, and mixed media projects.
While writing today’s post, I had to stop mid-sentence to order the Turquoise Medallions. Check them out! The next time I see you in the Creativity Center I hope to be wearing the necklace and earring set that I plan on creating. LOL! There are three pages of yummy pieces to choose from, everything from chains to charms. Have fun creating your own unique pieces.
Happy Birthday Shaker Card
Since shaker cards are more popular than ever, I thought you might be inspired by this adorable gift card holder designed by the ever so talented Jan Hobbins. Jan used the Sizzix Pocket Mini Shaker die set to create the fun shaker element. I love how she even customized the plain white tissue paper to coordinate with the dog theme. Thanks to Jan and her very creative way of thinking, we don’t have to deal with plain white tissue paper ever again.
For those of you who like videos, Lyndsey Serata has a great tutorial with tons of tips and tricks when making the shaker pocket. Click here and I will be happy to escort you over for a peek. What a great way to present and personalize your gift cards,
The Little Things By Donna Gray
Have you had the opportunity to play with PaperArtsy’s Infusions yet? PaperArtsy Infusions are water soluble particles with two components – dye color pigment suitable for paper/fabric mixed with walnut stain. The color powder particles dissolve faster than the walnut crystals, so you can control how much color-to-brown stain ratio you get depending on the amount of water you apply and when you dry.
As you can see on Donna’s little work of art, Infusions powders are great for quick and easy watercolor effects. I hope you’ve been inspired to break out your favorite watercolor mediums and create your own unique handcrafted card. For a complete supply list along with step-by-step instructions, click here and I will take you over to Donna’s blog That’s Blogging Crafty so you can take notes.
