Latest & Greatest Cool Tools with We R Memory Keepers by Becki Adams for @scrapbookexpo #ssbe2018 #ssbeblog #wermemorykeepers #americancrafts #shimelle #beckiadams

Hey there Stamp and Scrapbook Expo friends, I’m Becki back with another edition of Inspiration Station. This week we’re talking about Latest & Greatest Cool Tools with We R Memory Keepers. Our next show is in Orlando, FL on April 27th and 28th. There will be 4 Latest & Greatest workshops in Orlando: Card Making, Cool Tools, Scrapbooking, and Stamping. The projects I have to share with you today I created with products from the Cool Tools workshop. I used the We R Memory Keepers Hand Tool Kit  and the Trim and Score board. If you take the class, you will receive the Hand Tool Kit which contains detail scissors, a bone folder, a craft knife, a paper piercer/stylus, and a mini rotary cutter. You’ll also receive the Trim and Score Board. I LOVE using good quality, basic tools when I’m crafting.

The two tools I used the most to create this layout and card are the paper piercer/stylus and and the trim and score board. The paper piercer is perfect for poking holes for hand stitching. I love hand stitching on my layouts, it’s one of my favorite techniques. The “selfie” portion of the title is hand stitched with navy thread. After I hand stitched the title, I fussy cut each letter with the small detail scissors.

The patterned paper and embellishments that I used to create this layout are from the Box of Crayons collection by Shimelle and American Crafts. This collection is a must have if you love bright bold colors. As I’ve mentioned before, I like to create a card with the scraps on my desk when I finish a layout or a mini album. If I have the tools and supplies on my desk, I may as well use them, right?!?
The main focal point of this card is the rosette in the center. Rosettes are my favorite DIY embellishment to make. It only takes a few minutes to make one. AND it only takes 1 tool with the new Trim and Score board. YAY! I love multipurpose tools. This rosette makes this card stand out, literally! It’s such a fun easy design. The sentiment on this card is simply “hello”. I curved the letter stickers around the bottom of the rosette to give the sentiment a little more interest. Now, I’ve shared two projects I’ve created with a few of my favorite basic tools. I’d love to hear which tools are your favorite, let me know in the comments below. Maybe we have the same favorite tools OR maybe you’ll introduce me to my next favorite tool. Thank you for stopping by for Latest & Greatest Cool Tools with We R Memory Keepers. Happy crafting my friends!

Oh my goodness, your little man is the cutest. I love his different faces. Very expressive. Thanks for showing everyone that all you need are some basic tools to make beautiful layouts/cards.

There are so many I can not live without…..my fussy tweezers from scrapbook in made simple because you squeeze the like regular tweezers. Not a fan of the ones you squeeze to open. My little B piercer with magnet end and jewel picker, I forget the brand. And od course my Cricut trimmer/scorer. Oh can’t forget my Tim Holtz stamp platform and scissors. These are my essentials.

I’ve been thinking about this score board because of the details in the measurements. There is no other board out there with measurements in the 1/8. For someone like me, where measurements get a little tricky, this one looks promising.
