Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It Monday post.
Our next show is in Duluth, GA on July 20th & 21st. Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching four “Latest & Greatest workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, Scrapbooking, and Stamping. Today I am going to be creating with a new product from our Latest & Greatest: Scrapbooking class: Fancy Pants Designs‘ Poolside collection.
If you take the class, you will receive a sampler kit with the Pool Party, Cool in the Pool, Pooling Around, and Fun in the Sun patterned papers, the Ephemera pack, and the Jumbo Topped Paperclips.
With them, I created this layout:
I chose to work with the Cool in the Pool and Pooling Around patterned papers to mimic the patriotic feel of the floats in my photo, creating a diagonal line from the lower left to the upper right of my layout. Then, I added my photo and embellishments on a diagonal from the upper left to the lower right. This created an “X” that draws the eye towards the center of the layout and puts the focus on my photo and title.
And to make my title stand out, I used the little girl and beach ball die cuts for the Os in my “Pool” title and layered them with a water splash die cut for a fun and dimensional feel.
This is such an adorable collection. It is a must-have for all of any type of summer project!
