Hello my crafty friends, Lorraine here and I must say it’s quite an honor to be posting on Inspiration Station. I’ll be sharing a layout I created using the Fancy Pants Poolside Collection; it’s perfect for those summer photos. I recently had the privilege of taking one of the Latest & Greatest workshops taught by the amazing Pauline, who is truly an inspiration to her fellow paper crafters and she showered us with lots of goodies.
This simple layout came together in no time. It’s as easy as following the three simple steps listed here.
1. Create the background using only two sheets of 12 x 12 patterned papers from the Poolside Collection. Since it’s double-sided, just flip the paper over and you have a different pattern without cutting into another 12 x 12 sheet. They are terrific for layering and since they all come from the same collection, you don’t have to worry about coordinating. Fancy Pants does the coordinating for you!
2. I added three photos matted with navy cardstock, and to add some dimension I popped up the center photo with foam dots.
3. I added some of the very cute ephemera that was part of the same collection. Easy peasy 1,2,3! I also popped up the titles in the left corner for a bit more visual interest.
If you ever have the opportunity to take one of our Latest and Greatest workshops, I highly recommend that you do. Talk about “bang for your buck”! You will receive over $80 worth of product and are sure to pick up lots of tips and techniques from our instructor, Pauline. Whether you enjoy creating single or double-page layouts, pocket layouts, or even mini albums, this class is all about learning how to document your stories in creative and fun ways.
