Saturdays With LeAnn

In The Moment

Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to Stamp & Scrapbook Expo’s blog.  I am so excited today to share some wonderful projects designed by some of the most talented people in our creative industry.  We are so lucky to have them so graciously willing to share their talent with us.  Here are a few projects that really inspired me to want to spend more time creating.  I hope today your creative minds will be inspired and you will take some time to design some of your own projects.

In The Moment By Rachael Funnell

Doesn’t this layout beautifully tell the story of the fun photos?  I love how Rachael created her background.  (You all know that I just love gorgeous backgrounds!)  This is certainly a perfect one!  I can definitely see this turned into a canvas to display in your home.  This piece of art is all about texture, technique, and a whole lot of imagination.  What’s not to love with the beautiful stamping, inking, coloring, and so much more?

One of the things I love the most about this layout is not only how beautiful it is, but how enjoyable it is to create.  Rachael is one very talented lady and I would like to thank her for the never-ending talent she shares with us.  If you haven’t had the pleasure of visiting her blog, this is a must-have experience.  You will leave totally inspired to start your next project.  Let me escort you on over to A Window To My Scrapping World  to see more of Rachael’s outstanding projects.  Have fun and let your imagination run wild!

Inside Shadow Box Cards By Jennifer McGuire

I know most of you have made shadow box cards, but have you ever thought of creating a fun shadow box inside the card rather than the outside?  What a surprise it will be when the shadow box pops up!  These darling cards are so easy to make and have lots of dimension.  Don’t let this card intimidate you, though, because they are so fun to make and are very easy.  To learn the process and the dimensions to make this card, please click here and watch the video that Jennifer McGuire has put together to help you in creating your own style.

Inside Shadow Box Cards

These cards are not only creative and fun but wait until you see the big smile from the one who receives one of these darling cards.  This is one technique that you are sure to use over and over.  Keep the front of your cards simple since the inside has so much to offer.  I know I had so much fun making these, and I hope you try this shadow box card and have just as much fun as I had!  For more fun ideas be sure to check out the Jennifer McGuire Ink blog; you will be filled with so much inspiration!

Beach Bag By Chantalle McDaniel

If you’re heading to the beach this summer or even just the pool, do yourself a favor and make one of these awesome DIY bags.  One can never have too many bags, especially with all those summer activities.  Add some interest to your beach bag and make it a statement piece.  This is a fun project you can even get your children/grandchildren involved in.

Beach Bag

Chantalle created her bag using the Stitch Happy Sewing Machine by We R Memory Keepers.  If your sewing skills are limited this is just the bag for you as you can make this very simply.  If you are a great seamstress then you can doll up your bag by adding a lot of beautiful trims.  For a full tutorial on how Chantalle created her bag click here and I will take you over to the We R Memory Keepers blog.  Have fun creating – I would love to see what you come up with!

S’mores Kunafa Pie By Tasbih

This S’mores Pie is made completely from scratch from a caramelized crust, to creamy milk chocolate filling, to a roasted marshmallow topping.  It is decadent, rich, and absolutely delicious!  I have a feeling that your family will be asking for this time and time again.

Although this is a great dish for summer, I like to use this recipe as a dessert when I have family gatherings year round.  You and your guests will be amazed by this delicious dessert.  Click here so you can get the recipe and begin to make your own.  I know your mouth must be watering just looking at the photo.  Enjoy!

I have really enjoyed sharing these projects with you today and hope that they have been inspiring to you.  Thank you for stopping by and spending some time with me on this beautiful Saturday.  If you are looking for additional inspiration then be sure to visit our Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog every day.  Be sure to pop back here next Saturday as I will have more inspiring projects waiting for you.  Enjoy your weekend!

Hugs to all,

LeAnn

This looked like something to die for. I mean I started laughing as I’m not supposed to eat so much carbs anymore… type 2 diabetes but If I make a dessert this is the one I’d make and share it with all and just have a small piece for myself. Now and then a tiny cheat is OK. LOL pat Thanks for sharing.
