Saturdays With LeAnn

Vacation

Hello, my friends, I hope you all had a great week!  Are you taking advantage of the summer days creating memories with family and friends along with snapping some photos?  I hope you have taken some time to escape into your crafting haven to take some “me time” to relax and create something beautiful.  Are you stuck in a creative rut, feeling completely overwhelmed with all the crafting supplies you have, but don’t know where to start?  I totally understand and can relate to that feeling.  Today you will be in for a real treat because I have some great inspiration to share with you.  Grab your favorite beverage and let’s explore some wonderful projects!

They Love Books By Belinda Spencer

It is hard to believe that a new school year will be starting here shortly.  It is time to get the kids back in a school mode and a routine schedule back in place.  Summer went by so fast and it is always both a happy and sad moment for moms to see school start again.  This adorable layout will be the perfect layout for your child or grandchild’s first day back to school.  This layout will be one that you will cherish forever with that cute first day back to school photo displayed.

They Love Books

There is nothing that touches the heart more than to reminisce over your child’s first day back to school.  The changes they make from year to year is unbelievable, and layouts are such a perfect way to document those important dates from kindergarten to college graduation.  The best part is you can add any color to coordinate it with your own school colors.  I love how Belinda used leftover stickers to add to her background.  Be sure and visit The Dusty Attic blog where you will find a tremendous amount of inspiration provided by their fabulous design team members.

Hey You By Melissa Phillips

Melissa created this super fun card using the Hibiscus Frame Wafer Die by Simon Says Stamp.  To add to her card, she colored the flowers using ink blending.  I love how Melissa mixed and matched her patterned papers to create fun squares.  What a great way to use up your tiniest scraps.  Melissa then added melted enamel splatters to give some depth and personality.  This is such a fun and easy card to create.

Hey You

I love cards!  I love to make them whether they are simple or detailed.  They are always such a treasured gift to special people in your life.  Don’t lose touch with those special people you love; create a fun card and send it in the mail to the one you have been thinking about.  What a great surprise for them and best of all, look how you can brighten up someone’s day!  You will really have fun creating and sharing this card.  Let me take you over to LilyBean Paperie where you will find all the products you need to create this darling card.  You are going to also love all the beautiful projects Melissa has to share!

I hope your weekend is the creative high note of your week!  Stay inside where it is cool and grab yourself a cold, refreshing drink.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend by taking some time to create, and I’ll see you all back next Saturday.
