Saturdays With LeAnn

Love Is Just A Word

Happy Saturday, everyone!  I am amazed by all the wonderful creativity that pops up in our social media feeds each and every day.  I have so much fun choosing fabulous and outstanding projects to share with you.  I hope that these projects will be a great inspiration, and a joy, for each of you amazing and crafty friends to enjoy.  Sit back and take it all in!

You Will Forever Be My Always by Cathy Cafun

Since February is all about love, I couldn’t help but share this masterpiece with you.  This layout really caught my eye and I fell in love with the priceless photo against the softness of the gold.  Isn’t this an amazing page?  I love the wonderfully elegant feel and the feminine touch of lace and sequins that Cathy used.  Her talent is absolutely amazing!

You Will Forever Be My Always

For this beautiful background Cathy added gold mist to her paper, then stenciled over the gold using texture paste and a creative script template.  Cathy’s beautiful background really complements her photo instead of competing for your attention.  You are automatically drawn to the beautiful photo and then you can take in the rest of her design.  This makes for a perfect layout.  Let’s go on over to the Cathy Can’t Help Herself blog where you will see just how Cathy created this outstanding piece of art.  You will want to be sure and spend some time at her blog to see more of her amazing projects.

Love Is Just A Word By Heather Hoffman

This floral heart design makes for such a beautiful background.  I love the simplicity of this card, and yet it says so much.  Cards are such a delight to create, whether they are simple or detailed.  I enjoy having several cards on hand for any occasion. The best thing about a finished card is sharing the end result with those you care about. I feel it is important to take the time to send out cards and share my love with special friends and family.

Love Is Just A Word

I just love the subtle beauty of this card, it is definitely an inspiration!  Let me escort you over to House Built of Cards where you will find all the products you will need to create one of your own.  Heather will always inspire you with her wonderful projects, so be sure to spend some time and look through her blog.  You will come away with many fun ideas.

House Flower Vase By Jennie Atkinson

Flowers are always great to have as decor in your home.  They add such beautiful color to your surroundings, and fresh flowers give your home a sweet fragrance.  Flowers always seem to brighten up your day.  Add them to this adorable house shaped vase and you will have a perfect home decor piece for your lovely home.

House Flower Vase

Jennie painted inside and out with acrylic chalk paint and layered a napkin piece across the front and around the sides.  A texture paste word was added on top of this layer and left to stand overnight to dry.  DecoArt Crackle Glaze was added after the house was dry.  Jennie added some DecoArt Antiquing Cream to highlight the cracks.  Adding a touch of gold and some stamping, Jennie made a perfect little house flower vase.  Such an exquisite piece of art!  Take it one step farther and create some beautiful paper flowers to add to your vase.  A big thank you goes out to Jennie for sharing this inspirational post.  Let’s pop on over to Calico Craft Parts where you will see each step to create this beautiful House Flower Vase.  This would make a beautiful and thoughtful gift as well.

Cherry Kiss Cookies By Christy Denney

Oh my, my, these cookies taste like chocolate covered cherries!  Eat them when the kisses are still soft and the cookie is warm and when you bite into one you will think it is a chocolate covered cherry.  You’ll have a hard time putting these down!  This is a great Valentine’s cookie to make for your friends and neighbors and you’ll be the hit of the neighborhood.

Cherry Kiss Cookies

These delicious cookies will turn the simplest moments into something memorable.  They are easy to make, smell amazing while baking, and your family will love them.  They will become one of their new favorite cookies!  Come with me over to The Girl Who Ate Everything – you will want to print out this recipe and get started.  Enjoy every bite! 🙂

I hope you have enjoyed today’s post.  My wish is that each of you will challenge yourself with new styles and techniques.  Remember that creativity involves in breaking out of your traditional style.  Take a look at your project in a different way and never hesitate to try something new.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  Happy crafting, my dear friends!

The scrapbook layout are amazingly put together and I enjoy the looks of the “love” card. Words mean nothing if not used right. And the cookies made my mouth water… yummy!

I really never thought about the word “Love” until this blog. It is so true that it is just a word until someone adds meaning. Thank you for this insight!

I remember using the extra lace from my wedding dress on some anniversary cards….a lovely way to work in a keepsake in the album.
