Saturdays With LeAnn

Happy Easter

Are you getting spring fever?  I know I sure am!  I have loved seeing all of the tulips and daffodils poking their heads up through the dirt.  It makes me so happy to know that we are heading into some warmer weather.  With spring on its way, it is also a reminder that Easter is just around the corner.  Pretty pastel colors and flowers bring to my mind spring and Easter.  So with that said, I am sure you are ready for some beautiful spring-themed projects.  I hope you will be inspired by these fun projects today.

Love By Missy Whidden

Texture and dimension add so much to a layout, card, or mixed media project. We often hear the term “papercrafting” and that is because we know the opportunities with paper are so much more than just on the page.  Missy has definitely demonstrated this in her wonderful layout.  When creating a layout, choose a focal point on your page and then create embellishments that will continue to tell the story from that point.  Your mixed media background will add character and beauty to your page as well.  It is amazing how well this will work for you.

Love

You can see on this very lovely layout all kinds of beautiful elements.  There are some splatters on the background that give a nice contrast to the layout.  Using the words “Hello Love” tells so much about the photo.  I can honestly say that this is certainly an eye catcher and is very well done.  Let’s pop on over to Missy’s blog Little Nugget’s Creations where you will enjoy Missy’s beautiful projects.  You will certainly leave her blog feeling very inspired.

Easter is a great time to celebrate with family and friends.  Set the right tone for your Easter gathering by making your table beautiful and inviting.  If only the Easter bunny took care of the table setting, right?  Stop hopping around from store to store for table decorations because now you can create your own beautiful table setting.  This will be a great addition to your holiday decor.

This table setting has a look that feels fresh and has monochromatic green tones.  Adding some woodsy elements will give the Easter table a rustic look.  To finish the table setting, add a fun bird’s nest out of paper.  It is a simple project that can be great for your Easter theme.  How fun to have your children/grandchildren craft with you to make your bird’s nest.  Are you wondering how to make these creative nests?  For a full tutorial and step-by-step instructions click here.  To see more of this table setting decor, visit Lia Griffith’s blog.  You will find many wonderful projects to create.

Thank you for sharing all the beautiful spring inspiration! The cheesecake and table setting are gorgeous. What a pretty way to start off the season.
Sweet little bunny card. The little fellow tucked in under the pretty bouquet is perfect for Easter.
My favourite of the day is that gorgeous LO. Even with all the stuff going on in the background, that photo pops out at you like the star it is. Now that is how a page should be done. I really don’t like having to hunt around or even get distracted by unrelated stuff on a page. That photo should be what it is all about! 🙂

All the non-edible ideas are very cute.
    Thanks for sharing.
