Sundays With Lorraine

Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper! I hope your year is off to a great start. The beginning of the new year is beyond exciting for me as I not only have the privilege of sharing inspiration through Weekly Scraper, but it also means the beginning of a new season with Stamp & Scrapbook Expo.  I host the Creativity Center at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expos where I have the privilege of sharing exciting products with you throughout the show. The best part is that each project is sponsored by one of our amazing exhibitors, so once you fall in love with the products, you can go right to their booth and purchase your new treasures. How often do you get to play with the toys before you buy them? It’s a wonderful thing!

I thought you might enjoy a sneak peek of what we’ll be creating this season.

Crafter Depot

I am truly excited to say that I will be sharing Crafter Depot’s amazing products with you. There are so many ways to use their high-quality vinyl in the crafting world, so come join the fun,  I have lots of tips and techniques that I’m dying to share with you. We will be making a cute magnetic frame that you can hang on the fridge, so be sure to take lots of pics of you and your scrappy friends at the show. Crafter Depot will be at all the shows this year so be sure to stop by their booth. In case you can’t make it to a show right away, you can also visit them online, so click here and I’ll take you over for a visit. Be prepared to be amazed at everything you can embellish with vinyl; the possibilities are endless.

Stamp On It!

On this sweet card, we will be using a heavyweight (65lb) vellum cardstock, corner stickers, and gorgeous outline stickers. I love how the end result has a stained glass look. This is definitely a technique that you are sure to use over and over again. Whether you’re a cardmaker, planner person, scrapbooker, or mixed media queen, you’re going to love the amazing paper crafting treasures that Stamp On It has to offer. Come join the fun! I’ll even have your “I Created” button waiting for you. 🙂

Elizabeth Craft Designs

I am happy to report that we will be creating this adorable card using Elizabeth Craft’s amazing Silk Microfine Glitter, Clear Double Sided Adhesive, and several other must-have supplies. This is one of those techniques that you have to see it and feel it to believe it. You cannot get that kind of detail with just any glitter, so be sure to stop by and be prepared to be amazed.

Scampi-Style Steak and Scallop Recipe

After your creative workout, you’re left with the decision of what’s for dinner tonight, How about this delicious steak and scallop dinner that you can whip up in about 1/2 an hour. This is one of my favorite meals and with a little help from Judy you, too, can have this yummy meal on the table in well under an hour. Fresh scallops, a nice steak, and asparagus – what’s not to love? Click here and I will be happy to take you over to Judy’s food blog Savoring Today so you can print out the recipe. Just thinking out loud here, but with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, this would be perfect for a romantic dinner.

Several different projects are created in the Creativity Center throughout the day. There is something for every skill level and all the projects are free. Come join the fun and nurture your own creativity! In addition to creating a project to take home, you will receive a souvenir “I Created” button to add to your collection. See you at the Creativity Center!
