Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It Monday post.
Our next show is in Pomona, CA on April 4, 5, & 6. Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching five “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, Planners, Scrapbooking, and Stamping. Today I am going to be creating with new products from our Planners class: We R Memory Keepers‘ Book Binding Guide.
If you take the class, you will receive the Book Binding Guide, which includes the book binding guide, awl, curved and straight needle, waxed thread, instructions, and storage pocket:
With these items, I created some mini notebooks for my planner.
First, I started with three 3 3/4 x 5″ panels of patterned paper (from Fancy Pants Designs‘ The Yellow Door collection which is also being featured in the Planners workshop), nine 3 11/16 x 4 15/16″ panels of drawing paper, and tool kit.
I scored each of the panels in the center. I then layered one patterned paper panel and three drawing paper panels, centering panels on the guide and locking them in place.
I punched every other hole along the center line.
I stitched the panels together, knotting and trimming the ends to finish.
I repeated these steps to create two more notebooks.
The finished size of the notebooks is 3 3/4 x 2 1/2″. This size of notebook fits a Nano or Micro Traveler’s Notebook. I didn’t have a cover in this size, but I thought they would fit perfectly in the pockets of my A5 planner.
This Latest & Greatest: Planners workshop featuring We R Memory Keepers‘ Book Binding Guide will also be taught at our upcoming shows in Milwaukee, Orlando, and Puyallup. We would love to see you at one of these shows!
I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
I love this idea for traveling. I think I will make one for my trip abroad later this year!
Love all your products
So cool. I have to have this, adding it to my wishlist.
I’m waiting on my
book binder to be
delivered! Looking
forward to using it.

Awesome idea
What a great idea. Can’t wait to get started on this project.
Wow! These would make great gifts and be fun to make.
Cool tools! This is one of the quickest ways I’ve seen to bind books like travellers notebooks. I’ll be checking this out at the Expo in Orlando.
