Saturdays With LeAnn

Hello my friends, and happy Saturday to you all!  I want to welcome you back to the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog for another dose of creative planning fun!  I hope you are sitting back in your comfy clothes and are ready to enjoy some fun projects that I have to share with you today.  Saturday projects are coming your way and I believe they will give you tons of creative inspiration!  Enjoy!

Spring Smiles By Nathalie DeSousa

I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for some spring weather.  Here in Utah it has been extra cold with lots and lots of snow.  It is this time of year that we all start to get a little stir crazy staying inside.  Let me bring a little spring to you!  There is so much more than first meets the eye on this darling layout.  I fell in love with the black and grey outlined flowers and the way the Altenew inks add some color.  This is a perfect layout for those spring photos, and I thought you might enjoy a nice spring-inspired project.

You will definitely pick up a few new tips and techniques to use on your layouts by following Nathalie’s step-by-step video on how she created this layout.  I highly recommend stopping by her blog Living An Inspired Life to see many more of Nathalie’s fabulous projects.  Happy scrapping, my dear friends!

With Love By Melissa Phillips

I love the way Melissa has hearts hidden and tucked in here and there on her card, showing you that you can use hearts in unconventional ways.  Hearts don’t have to be just for Valentine’s, you can use them anytime.  This darling card is such a great way to show love to a very special person in your life, whether it be a mom, daughter, granddaughter, or a special friend.  They will treasure this card forever.  Handmade cards are such an easy way to bring some sunshine and a smile to one’s face.  They are so much fun to make and such a joy to receive.  Make memorable greeting cards and delight the ones you love with these adorable ideas from Melissa.

I just fell in love with this adorable card.  I can see it being the perfect card to send at Easter time as well.  No matter what your style is when creating a card, you can keep it simple and clean.  You will be amazed how creative you can be with the supplies you have laying around in your stash.  Recently I have been trying to use some of the supplies I have on hand and it has been really fun to use up a few of my favorite treasures.  Don’t be afraid to mix and match whatever you have.  Click here and I will take you over to LilyBean Paperie where you can see each step that Melissa takes to create her card.  You will fall in love with all of her creations, so be sure and take a few minutes and look around her blog.

DIY Aged French Pitcher By Diana

Recently I have been re-decorating my house in some farmhouse style decor.  These French decals look adorable in my kitchen and fit in perfectly.  Whether you are going for a shabby chic, vintage, farmhouse, or cottage style, this pitcher can be easily adapted to use in your home.  You will enjoy this all year long!  The best part for you is that you get a free PDF printable decal.  I found an old pitcher at a thrift store, took it home, painted it, and then distressed it.  This was really a fun project, it was so easy, and turned out great.  You will love the end results!

Are you ready to take an old pitcher and turn it into a high-end designer piece for your home decor?  There are some tips and techniques when using waterslide decal paper transfers.  This unique image transfer technique will beautify almost any object by simply adding your favorite graphics or text.  Click here and I will take you over to Dreams Factory where you will find step-by-step instructions on how to transfer your decal to your project.  You can also go to the Dreams Factory blog to print off your free PDF printable decal.  I hope you will give this project a try.  You are sure to enjoy painting, distressing, and transferring decals to create a new decor piece for your home.

Pear Almond Cake By Glory Albin

Pear Almond Cake is a perfect show stopper for dinner parties and yet it is easy enough that you can whip it up for a mid-afternoon treat.  Your family and friends will love this and will admire your talent in the kitchen.  The pears add moisture and a subtle flavor to the cake, and then the almond adds richness and texture.

This is definitely a recipe you will want to keep in your recipe file because you will find yourself making this over and over again.  I bet you are ready to go into your kitchen and whip this yummy cake up!   Click here and I will be happy to take you over to Glorious Treats so you can print out the recipe and begin to bake.  Enjoy, my friends!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have been inspired by these fun projects.  I hope you have a lovely weekend and a great week ahead.  I look forward to spending more time with you; I can’t wait to share some more really fun projects!

Hugs to all,

LeAnn
