Saturday With LeAnn

Welcome back to the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo blog!  I hope you had a very wonderful Holiday!  I know how busy you all have been; it is my hope today that you will take some time for yourself and enjoy being creative.  Today I have some wonderful inspiration to share with you.  It’s so cold here in Utah, and there is nothing better than a warm drink on a cold winter day, staying inside where it is warm, and spending time in the craft room.  So sit back and let’s begin!

Holly Jolly By Missy Whidden

I just know that you have dozens of adorable pictures on your phone that you took on Christmas Day.  Now is a great time to put them on an adorable Christmas layout!  I just love what Missy did with her pine bough square cut file from Pink Fresh Studio.  Have you ever used cut files before?  If not, I hope this darling layout will inspire you to do so.  They add so much to your layout and make it quick and easy as well.

Missy has prepared a wonderful video for you that you just don’t want to miss, so click here to see every step to creating this adorable layout.  I just love how she created her embellishments using stamps, die cuts, and tucking in some tangled thread to give a different accent to her page.  Missy is certainly a constant inspiration to all of us who love crafting!

Winter Wishes And Birthday Wishes By Laura Bassen

Cards might be little, but wow! They are packed with so much inspiration!  This burst die can be so versatile, along with adding so much to your cards.  Make it a Hello card, Birthday, Thinking of You, Winter, and so much more.  Who wouldn’t love to receive a beautiful card in the mail?  What a great way to brighten up someone’s day!

Laura used three different dies on her cards. Adding some color to her card, she blended Tim Holtz Distress Inks behind the burst die.  Such a simple and eye catching card that definitely sends out that perfect message!  Let me escort you over to watch Laura’s YouTube Video on how she created her card, along with her step by step instructions.  You are going to love every minute of her video!  Step out of your comfort zone and take some time to experiment and just have some fun creating!
