Sundays With Lorraine

Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to Stamp & Scrapbook Expo’s blog.  I’ve just returned home from our Pomona, CA show and am happy to report that it was an amazing show.  You guys are some seriously talented paper crafters!  The Creativity Center was on fire and a fun time was had by all.  After hanging out with you all for three solid days, I am so ready to share today’s creative therapy.  I have some fun stuff to share, so please sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Travelers Notebook by Diane Williams

With Travers Notebooks being extremely popular (and sometimes a little misunderstood) I thought you might enjoy seeing how Diane turned hers into a fun mini album.  Of course, you can use a TN to document your travels but they are also perfect to use as a mini album.  You can make your own with all that amazing paper that you’ve been collecting, or you can purchase premade Traveler’s Notebook inserts, they are officially known as signatures.  The possibilities are endless!

DIY Watercolor Birds Pen Holder by Anna-Karin

Doesn’t it make you smile when you create pieces of art that are also functional?  What a beautiful way to store your tools.  It’s time to break out your favorite stamp sets and create a set or two of these to help keep your craft room organized.  Crafting is always a bit more enjoyable when you know where everything is, right?

Happy Mother’s Day Card by Kay Miller

I’m sure Mom is looking forward to one of your handmade cards for Mother’s Day.  I know mine is, one year I was in a hurry and send Mom a store bought card; that was 10 years ago and I’m still hearing about it!  Lol!  The bright vibrant colors are sure to bring a smile to Moms’ face.  For details on how easily this sweet card comes together, click here and I will be happy to escort you over to Kay’s blog My Joyful Moments.

Crock Pot Sausage and Peppers With Parmesan Basil Polenta

Growing up in New York, one of our favorite go-to meals was Italian Sausage & Peppers.  I love how this recipe is cooked in the crockpot, just dump in the ingredients and you can get back to your craft room.  This easy Sausage & Peppers recipe is sure to please everyone in the family.  Even the easy Parmesan Polenta comes together in just a few minutes.  You could totally skip it, just grab a nice crusty roll and make a sausage and pepper sandwich.  Click here and I’ll take you over to The Suburban Soapbox so you can print out the recipe.

Thanks for sharing part of your Sunday with me, I hope to see you in person at one of our Stamp & Scrapbook ExposClick here and I will be happy to escort you over to our website so you can start planning a memorable weekend with your crafty peeps.

Hugs to all!

Thanks Loraine for the meal idea. I just got home late last night from a scrapbook weekend house with my friends. Can’t wait for Milwaukee Expo.

    Thanks Loraine,
Love the card, it can be used for an all occasional card.
Also loved the sausage & peppers. My family won’t eat Polenta so I substituted it with white rice. They loved it.
Keep up the good work. We love you.
