Saturdays With LeAnn

Hello my friends, and welcome back to this beautiful Saturday of inspiration!  I hope you are all having a great weekend so far and ready to do some crafting.  I have some fun projects that I will share with you today, and I believe these projects will give you tons of creative inspiration!  I hope you are sitting back in your comfy clothes and are ready to begin a fun day being in your craft room.

This beautiful layout features contrasting colors. The key to contrasting colors on a layout is to create a dynamic background.  This will enhance the color of the rest of the page. Doesn’t this bright layout just make you want spring to arrive?  So, who says stamping is just used on cards?  I love the look of stamping on my layouts, and it always gives it a realistic result.

When using stamps, it is always fun to create your own colors by using different inks and pens.  This will also give you a great opportunity to layer and create clusters for your layout.  Nathalie has a wonderful video showing you the step-by-step of her fabulous design.  Click here and I will take you over to the Altenew Scrapbook Blog where you can see more fabulous projects and ideas.  Have fun creating one for you!

With Love By Melissa Phillips

Hearts don’t have to be just for Valentine’s Day; you can use them in unconventional ways all year long.  This adorable card has a beautiful heart border that will catch the eye of the lucky one who receives it.  Take some of your Valentine’s card ideas and change them up to turn them into a beautiful card of Love, Thinking About You, Happy Birthday, etc.

Melissa Phillips is incredible when it comes to creating and showcasing her cards!  She has added a nice touch of stamping, along with layering.  Come on over with me to Lily Bean Paperie to see many more of Melissa’s fabulous projects. You will love her step-by-step instructions, along with a list of the products she uses.  I hope you have plenty of time, because you will get lost for hours in this fabulous blog!

Mixed Media Pallet Brush By Shari Carroll

This mixed media paint palette is bursting with exquisite beauty!  This project is a delight to make and will help you create a keepsake to treasure forever. Don’t you just love the overall softness with the hint of color and the heart motif on the palette?  The different elements really add to this gorgeous piece. Can’t you just see this on an easel sitting in one of your favorite rooms of your home?

Pull out your crackle paste, gesso, dies, and stencils and have a blast creating a palette just for you.  These would also make a beautiful gift to have on hand.  Let’s pop on over to the Simon Says Stamp blog where you can see more detail of this beautiful palette.  You can also watch a step-by-step tutorial by clicking here.  I hope this will give you some great inspiration to create a unique piece for your home that you will always treasure.

Clotted Cream Scones By Lise Ode

This easy English Scones Recipe is perfect for entertaining guests.  They are a traditional and tasty English teatime treat that is so easy to make at home.  Not only are they simple to make, they will also impress your friends and family.

British-style scones are a great addition to a brunch or special-occasion breakfast. What makes the scones even more British is the addition of clotted cream as a topping after they are baked.  If you have never tried a clotted cream scone, you will want to jump on over to Mom Loves Baking where Lise shares her fabulous recipe with us and lists all the ingredients and directions.  Enjoy!

Now that you have taken this all in, let’s get working in your creative space!  Thank you for stopping in for a visit; I’m looking forward to seeing you back soon!  Wait until you see what I have to share with you next time! 🙂  Have a wonderful week!

Hugs to all,

LeAnn
