Hi dear crafty friends! First off, I want to wish you all a very happy new year! I hope that 2020 is a really good year for you all. I have the pleasure to write my first post this New Year. I am so excited to bring you new ideas, techniques, products, and mostly getting to spend some time with you! This year you will see many talented bloggers that will share some of their best quality work with us. I hope you will continue to visit our Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog often. So sit back, relax, and let’s get started!
This layout has so many beautiful colors that are bright and vibrant and I instantly fell in love with this design. It is so impressive how Nathalie used so many different products to create her mixed media background. I have to say it brings a ray of sunshine into this cold weather!
Can you only imagine the beautiful layout you can create using some of the same techniques as Nathalie? To create the background, Nathalie used splashes of Pinkfresh Liquid Watercolor. Creating her layout, she added layers by placing a few items on her page; this will turn your mind to creative mode and start to create some great dimension! Nathalie never ceases to amaze me with her fun and creative layouts, along with her perfectly placed layers. Your eye is automatically drawn to her photo, and then to those fun layers. Be sure to visit Living An Inspired Life where you will find so many inspiring projects that Nathalie has created.
Being creative is simply taking a simple piece of paper and using your imagination. I hope you will be inspired to take out some of your old stamps and let your imagination run wild! I am sure if you looked into your collection of stamps, you would find some you haven’t used for a very long time. Reunite with them and see what you come up with! I think you will be very surprised!
This card is a perfect way to send love through the mail. Pull out your markers and incorporate some ink blending and stamping on your card. I highly recommend stopping by Flutter by Atomicbutterfly blog so you can follow along as Kelly shares her steps on how she created her beautiful card. You will definitely pick up on some new tips and techniques when creating your cards. Have fun creating!
A pop-up box card is styled like a pretty box shape when on display, but has the benefit of folding flat into an envelope for gifting. Imagine the wonderful surprise when this stunning card comes out of the envelope and pops right open. If any handmade card has the WOW factor, this one does it! It is perfect for special occasions and the one who receives it will treasure it forever!
Flowers work especially well in these pop-up cards, but using other themes such as butterflies and hearts make your pop-up box unique as well. Once you know how to make them, you will realize they are super easy and fun to make. Don’t be intimidated; just pop on over to Rubbernecker blog where Kittie will give you step by step instructions to create one. You will have so much fun you won’t know when to stop!
New Years resolutions of no more sweets has got to go; who can resist something like this that’s so yummy? This gorgeous cake is infused with buttercream and frosted with a light and fluffy vanilla buttercream. There is definitely no better way to start the new year off than with a delicious dessert!
The pink layers are very light and fluffy. You can also substitute sparkling cider if you don’t like the taste of champagne. Let me take you on over to Queenslee Appetit where you will find all the ingredients and directions on how to make one of these beautiful cakes. How pretty would this be for your daughter or granddaughter’s birthday? Enjoy!
I really enjoy being able to share many wonderful projects with you! Again, I want to say thank you for taking some of your precious time to explore with us here on the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog.
