Vintage Frame Card

Today’s card is a masterpiece full of inspiration. This gorgeous card was created using Mica Flakes. Using the Mica flakes give a beautiful metallic or pearlescent sheen to the card, and helps create such a great vintage look. This was created by Julia Stainton, one of the most talented wonderful design team members from Maya Road.

Julia covered her chipboard frame using the Ornate Tags Chipboard Set with some silver paint and then adhering it with pearl colored flakes. This really gives the frame a beautiful mother pearl look.

The heart chipboard accent also uses the mica flakes. They are adhered over a patterned paper layer and use both the gold and pearl flakes. Add some fun embellishments such as vintage paper roses, teardrop pearl centers, vintage pale pink pearl ball pins, clear vintage raspberry beads, a metal vintage love hanger, and alterable wood bingo motifs. I just love all the details and the amazing cluster of embellishments. Don’t be afraid to mix and math with whatever you may already have in your stash.
