Whether you are a Mixed Media artist or just itching to dive in & give it a try, you’re gonna love today’s inspiration piece. I think it was the soft warm colors combined with the different textures that caught my eye. Who wouldn’t feel the love when receiving this precious card.
Jackie started by cutting a piece of mixed-media paper with the largest die in Blueprints 10 and proceeded to paint the paper with a layer of liquid gesso, then kraft colored acrylic paint.
Once both layers dried, she stamped the entire piece of paper with the new Grid Background and Kraft Hybrid Ink. Then she covered most of the stamped background with some modeling paste and the Small Brick Wall Stencil. I love the large Gerbera Daisy & Leaf-Filled Flourish that were both painted with a bit of liquid gesso to give them some texture.
I would like to send out a huge Thank You to Jackie Pedro author of The Scalloped Edge Blog for sharing her beautiful design with us today. I highly recommend stopping by anytime you need a burst of inspiration.
My hope is that you are fearless when it comes to your creativity, that you are brave enough to try new techniques but most important to have with your art.
Thanks for the visit & I hope that you have a very creative day.

This is just beautiful. Where do you find kraft colored acrylic paint?
Andie
I’m guessing that it is a tan color that matches Kraft. Try Blick Art Materials.
Thanks for the help. Blick Art is amazing
